Chronicles: Part V by Exhale-NL Chronicles: Part V by Exhale-NL
After a long journey, our hero finally reached his destination. He just has to climb over his last obstacle and then he will finally be in the Crystal City. But what happened to this city? The young pilgrim wonders where the buildings are, he has never seen a city like this.

Chronicles: Entering the Crystal City
It's finally here... I'm finally done with the fifth piece of the story. I went for the more "basic" look because I wanted to put my attention to the story behind this one. I realy hope you are as satisfied with it as I am.
I had alot of fun making this one, and I definately hope that there's gonna be a final Part VI. But how the hell can I work out my plans this time...?
Ah well, just keep an eye open and check out my journals once in a while, so you'll stay informed ;)

looks really nice. it might look better if you erase haze in the back of the render and add highlights on edges.

take care

Looks great bro..Ireally like the way you get this sort of "Comic book" look to the render instead of plain realism. Add's for a better image to look at imo. The depth look's preety good. The materials could of used some work, but the rest of it makes up for it from what I see. Nice work bro.

Very beautiful! My only suggestion would be to make it a little less bright. It is kind of hard on the eyes. Other than that, I think you did a wonderful job. Your eye to detail is impeccable. And to think you did less detail on this one. Well I think you did a marvelous job!

Luve the render man, still it tells the story a bit less good. You don't know how he enters the city because you only see these renders.
Perhaps a dragon or whatever where the guy flies on to the city. Bit imaginating, don't know what's possible to do for you.
annyways, lovely piece :)

met een beetje fantasie kun je van de render een trap/pad maken waar de hero overheen moet. Zo was et iig de bedoeling ;)

well, i really really love your serie, but you can see very good that you didn't put as much effort and work in this piece as in the other pieces. i think you know the

reason? the lightning isn't that good in this piece, in the others you always came with amazing things, now it's not really normal abstract but it goes to it. your renders

are always amazing, but 'normally' you do more with the render in photoshop

anyway, you did a great job on this piece :)

whilst i do love your series, i have to admit that this one is a tad bit weaker than your other pieces.

i think it's pretty obvious. the main reason is that the lighting isn't as defined as your other works. the lighting in this piece is like a large oval shaped flare, and it doesn't at all blend in with the renders.

your renders are as lovely as always. :)

great work.

the organic render is sexy, i love the dull light, brings a sort of dead/lost feeling to the piece, so many people r lookin at the elements, not the meaning of the piece, the story goes along great with it

i expected something better, but this is amazing, the depth and render is well done, and so is the lighting. altho, i dont like the saturated feel of it. it needs more color imo, overall good work :D

Some of the most beautiful forms and materials I've seen recently. I'm not sure whether the darkness is supposed to encapsulate the render or the light supposed to be burting from the darkness, but I think it's the last one. It sets up the ambience nicely. The silhouette of the man is a classic touch to all these images. I love it. :)

Nice, i like how u always turn abstract tentacle things into pathways... but still i do not believe this part is up to par with the rest.... just my opinion :|

Nonetheless a nice image though...

I like very much the renders. The lights are well placed . Well, in the general this image is nicely done! Almost perfect... I just think that, in this image, you should add a little more detail. But I like it. Good job! :)

I like this piece, well not as much as the previous one, but it's also a very nice looking one.
Kinda confusing is the white part. I know the picture is titled "Entering..." , but the white part looks kinda out of place.
A better nuance is missing... It looks like you've just made a layer, took the airbrush with a big stroke size and made a dot.
It looks strange, very strange :|
Anyway awesome picture, but where's the one you showed us some time ago in your journal. I wanna see that one :D Thought it was a chronicle.
