Since I got a lot of possitive feetback on my idea of making longer description, I'm going to give it to all my pieces from now on. Enjoy.


The Story

In the beginning the 106th year of the 2nd Era, there was only peace and harmony in and around the world of Idyll. Humans and animals were living together as if they were friends. Every tree and flower was thriving for more than 10 months a year. It was a beautifull world, full of colors.
But as the time passes, the world changes...
A terrible war between Idyll and Aidan broke out. For more than 100 years these two nations have fought eachother. This would finally mean the End of a once beautifull world, known as Idyll...


The Looks

I've chosen for a new style in this piece, pure for experimenting. Some of the watching people should see that I used some of the same render- and brushing technics that I also used in Mindfields. I tried to give it some more meaning and more details now.
One of the major differences between Idyll's End and Mindfields is the story behind it. Where Mindfields was just an experiment, I tried to give this a story/meaning. To work this story out, I added some stock pictures from Corbis.com. I realy like how this turned out...


The Inspiration

This piece means alot to me. It is inspired by the movie and especially the soundtrack of The Last Samurai. This music is some of the best audio I've heared in a very long time, full of emotion.


Final Words

This piece was made for Oxygenetic's 3th pack. I realy, realy hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoy it... Oh and before I forget, Tuesday is my birthday and I wanted to release it then, but I couldnt wait. So see this as if it is somt kind of birthday present from me to you all. :D

Nice work my friend, i like your are trying to combine real things with abstract. But this piece has too much black parts, like the hole upper side.

OWNZ, like usual. i really like the stockphoto technique u do :) i can almost feel the heat of the explosions that come out of the render! the woods at the bottom makes things perfect :) i saw the last samurai, and i must say it really has something of it :) maybe it is the woods, like in the beginning part of the movie. the render is very cool, shatter? :) about the bird: it adds a nice tint. its like some hunting bird, flying over the woods, ready to attack anything that moves :) for the rest, nice lightning, nice colors, but the title weirdly reminds me of warcraft. good job exhale, i've said it before and i'll say it again :)

fantastic idea to add the trees below, and i love the mist effect you've attached onto it. A nice render and good brushwork on that too.
