Description

To begin this description I want to let you all know that I'm gonna give more info than usual from now on. If you're not interested, plz scroll back up again to view the image or scroll down to comment on this piece (which I would realy appreciate ). I do suggest you read it tho...

Titan Fields

I made this piece for Oxygenetic's latest pack, Sublimal. I realy didn't know what to make for this new pack so I was thinking... Thinking back of that movie Titan A.E., since I saw that movie I always wanted to create something inspired by/based on that movie. I opened up Cinema 4D and started something.
When I was done rendering I was suprised (yes I realy was) by the quality of the render. From then I started to brush like a maniac... After an hour of 5 something came out. I look pretty cool, and I showed it to ~secroit and *snakeart. They both helped me alot, but still after they did, this piece didn't look finished.
The next day I started again. It needed lighting and some special effects. That's what I did next, I placed this little space traveler (look ver close to the right side) on one of the floating "balls". After that the lighting was gonna get a touch-up. Which was realy hard by the way. Because I didn't save the .psd I had to work on on a .jpg. The end result was there, Titan Fields...

Looks

Like I said I wanted to make something inspired by Titan E.A.. Seeing what came out and looking back to Titan E.A. these 2 things realy didn't look like eachother, but somehow I could link 'em together. Maybe because of the little space traveler, maybe because of the floating balls, well I don't know.
Anyways, I wanted to go for an original look. Grunge-Abstract is what I want to call this. I realy like this alot, I hope you do as well. The lighting is basicaly the same as always.
O one last thing. Some people asked me the question: "Do you brush all these little details?!?". The answer? Nope... Well not 100%. The way I do these little details (see Chronicles 3 & 4) is by finding a stock image, copy it into photoshop and making it the right size (most of the time very small). Then I just simple brush on it with the black and white brush. After that I delete the original image and voilá...

Story

I can come up with a little story here, but I don't want to this time. Since it's inspired by Titan E.A. I'm just going to give you the story of that movie. See if you like it, suggestions are always welcome .
