I found this website out a couple of days ago through CJP magazine... Besides that it made me realise how hard it is to do outstanding photojournalism like this, I think of that movie Hotel Rwanda again. Especially the quote from a scene, in which a visual journalist is filming the terrible conditions in wich some the local refugees are living:

"Paul Rusesabagina: I am glad that you have shot this footage and that the world will see it. It is the only way we have a chance that people might intervene.
Jack: Yeah and if no one intervenes, is it still a good thing to show?
Paul Rusesabagina: How can they not intervene when they witness such atrocities?
Jack: I think if people see this footage they'll say, "oh my God that's horrible," and then go on eating their dinners."

I'm curious, how do you react to this?

If Pep was in charge of writing our squareFACTOR story it would say:
2.000.00000.000000000.0 years ago in a crazy mother, three kids embarked on a journey to rid the world of grandfather. It was a bold mission to say the least but these young chickens were up to the task.

After many battles it was clear they needed help so they added another egg to the team, then another and another until their army was juicy. This story's ending has yet to be written but we're pretty sure it will involve pizza.

check out [link] and make your own story! Haha, funny stuff.

Ordered a new 24" widescreen monitor a couple of days ago, can't wait for it to arrive.

Hm, what about the hollidays? Does anyone have plans already? I'm seriously thinking of backpacking through Europe with ~reineoliet. But we're not sure how we should travel: interrail, moped, hiking, hitching... And where to stayover: hostels, hotels, campings or couchsurfing... Does anyone have suggestion, ideas, couches available to crash on, experiences?

Hey guys and gals,

Thought it was time to let hear of me again, since nothing very creative, deviant-worthy is coming anytime soon... This has got some reasons of course, since I'm still eager to invest some time in some new work.

Anyways, fot those who were wondering: "what's up that little dude?" (for those who could care less should stop reading just about now)... I'm busy with an internship over at [link] for another 2 days. After that I've been there for about 10 weeks, and I could say it was a blast. I had a lot of fun working with great people at a small design studio. Although the animation on that website (for who missed it: [link] ) might not be the most impressive thing you've ever seen, it might be nice to know that it came from my hand and that it was a lot of fun making it. In the 10 weeks I've learned to work in a team, made some pretty nice posters and worked on some small campaigns as a concepting man. Did some copywriting as well. It has inspired me to work even harder on the remaining 9 months of my education.

Besides that I'm just enjoying life with my girl and friends. Taking pictures, party, drawing, reading, going to the movies, and just... hanging around with her is what I'm doing lately in the spare time. And I'm enjoying that!

Alright, finally: I'm on Twitter. If you want to follow me, you should ;) it's here.

Anyone got some good laughs lately?
Besides that i found this thing hilarious, it's a superb song from 3 promising dutch guys: Nobody Beats The Drum!

Later! :)

I recently made some illustrations to go with this song about birds by Ms Nash. I will upload the piece soon. Besides that I will try to get started on collaborations with ~breakerr and ~reineoliet soon. My head is bursting out with ideas, but I can't seem to find the time or inspiration to put them on a digital canvas. Do you have any suggestions for a subject?

Anyone found some inspiration in good music lately? Recommend me some albums :)

Something that came in my mind a while back, after watching a documantary about the fattest turd in the world:
"If one can't write a book, he can still make them write a book about him."

What's your experience with rubbers? What brand do you use? What do you think about the company Durex and what would you like to see from them (or any condom-company)?

[link]

I'm quite stuck with my research on Durex, wich I'm doing for a school assignment. Yes, use a condom for protection against AIDs and other deceases, yes use a condom if you don't want your little white army to transform in some crazy little person. But what should a company like Durex do to get more people buying their condoms? In the USA, Trojan is the biggest manufacterer. What do they do different?

If you have any newsfacts about this subject (sex, toys, condoms, lube, inflatable dolls, etc.), any stories or personal experiences you think are usefull (in any way), feel free to share them and help me out a bit here.

Droog / ExperimentaAmsterdam 2008 is working out a huge-scale project designed by Stefan Sagmeister. It will be an installation put together with 300.000 1-eurocentcoins, forming a sentence consuming some 40×20 meters. Now all these little coins have to be lay down by some people, and that's why Stefan has called for volunteers. Check it out, I bet this will give you some awesome pain-in-the-back, and alot of fun ;)

Dear whoever the fuck reads this anyways,

I'm searching for an internship. I'm searching for companies like [link] who take trainees, preferably located in London (not outside of UK). If you have any suggestions, please leave them in a comment. Don't hold back, come with crazy ideas, surprise me!

If I pick the company you suggested I will buy you a print of choice or a subscription or something comparable... Worth the try right, since there's a 50% chance that I might actually pick one of the suggestions ;)

Thanks, Pep

Guys and gals,

I have a bit of a small problem. I want to make a list of my Daily Deviations, but don't remember some of them. If I have done a collaboration with you, and we got a DD of that, please leave a small comment with the link. That would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ok guys and gals,

I know you all missed me, but say goodbye to your sorrows, because I'm back! I went on vacation to France for the last 2 weeks. I went there with some friends, we chilled and partied. It was awesome! Too bad it's over already.

I took some pictures during my holiday. I'll upload them later. For now I just wanted to say hi :)

O my god... I'm just so friggin' pumped right now! I just watched ep. 17 of the new season of 24, and am I think this is just the best ep. of this season so far. And we have still 7 more to come! It seems that every season keeps getting better and better, and Jack becomes more and more badass. I love it!

Besides this commercio talk of mine, I also want to say that I'm almost finished with my new piece. I need to change one little bit, but I just don't want to open the file anymore. When I open the 800MB weighting psd, it takes my pc 10 minutes before I see anything. But I decided not to release it untill it's 100% finished. Just wait, a little longer :)

Hey guys/gals,

Got a little question... I'm going to buy a notebook soon, but I still haven't decided what brand I want to go for. One thing that is for sure is that I don't want to buy a Mac. I know, the things are sexy as hell, but I can't afford one. And even if I could, I can't buy the software for this.
I'm actually thinking about buying me a Sony VAIO... The looks are so damn sweet, and I've heard that it's a nice alternative for the Mac. The looks are sweet, the specs are ok (all with Intel Core Duo + min 1GB DDR2,mostly with a GeForce 7400 Go 3D card (is that any good anyways?)).

So what should I go for then? What are your experiences with the VAIO or other Notebooks? And if I should go for a VAIO, what series should I look at, keeping in mind that I don't want to spend more than €1500,-?

I would realy appreciate some feedback here ;)

Thanks, Pep.

P.S. New piece coming in the upcoming Bohemica pack... Keep thy eyes opened! :D
